There was one who cared . . . Abram. Why did God allow this man to negotiate for a sin filled city? This man invested his life to reach everyone he lived with the Most High God even until the very end. Not only was his nephew at stake but several cities filled with people who, just a few verses before, he helped save from a raid on the cities.

Hospitality is a word not often used today even though we'd all like to think that we are hospitable. Abram takes this to a whole new level when he gets the opportunity to speak with Christ (Christophany). Why don't we hold this high a level of kindness today?

First God calls Abram out of his land then God promises he will be the father of an entire nation. Although Abram didn't have a child to be a father of anyone. Every time we bring about God's will by means he NEVER intended always ends badly.

Tithing the ancient Canaan, an army and an adopted nephew? This sounds like one crazy Holly Wood movie but it's not, it's in the Bible. Lot was the adopted nephew of Abram and his uncle-daddy wouldn't stand by and watch his nephew-son be taken by the Chedorlaomer (yeah we couldn't say it either).
